Hi everyone!
My sister, Pachia Xiong, will be fulfilling a lifelong dream of going to South Korea.
She was accepted to study abroad at Chonnam National University (CNU) this summer!
She will be there for about 5 weeks beginning in late June 2023!
ABOUT PACHIA
Pachia is currently a Liberal Arts student at California State University, Stanislaus and is on track to graduate with her Bachelor of Arts degree in the 2023 - 2024 school year.
She aspires to be a teacher, has a youthful spirit, and loves working with children.
Pachia previously volunteered as an instructor and curriculum designer for a nonprofit organization called Hmong Culture Camp, which creates educational programs for early-learning dual-language exposure for children ages 0-5.

Pachia has always been a huge fan of Korean culture.
She has a keen knack for keeping up with those quickly-moving Korean trends, her favorite KPop idols and groups, and the hottest new KDramas and shows.
She's also a black belt in TaeKwonDo, a Korean martial art!
As a student at Chonnam National University, Pachia is determined to share her dual experience as a Hmong American with her fellow peers, while also getting to know a glimpse of the world from their perspectives.
People outside of the States may not realize how diverse our country truly is, and Pachia is happy to convince them otherwise.
Additionally, upon returning, she will be excited to share her experiences with other students at CSU Stanislaus who may be considering studying abroad but are uncertain about it, as she once was.
